Real and Relevant! Learning and growing! This is First Baptist of Gresham. We're located on Powell Blvd right across the street from the Post Office and the Truffle Hunter, just east of West Gresham Grade School. Authentic people, casual to formal in dress, caring child care, great kids, youth, adult and seniors programs, an excitingly strong choral ministry with choirs for both kids and adults, and clear teaching from the Bible are some of the things people like best about FBC. Join us for worship Sundays at 8:45 or 11:15 a.m.

 

First Baptist is a community of kids, youth and adults that strives to develop deep relationships, enjoys worshiping together, and seeks to discover who God is at work in our lives and in our world.

 

Not a Baptist? Not a problem! We welcome people from all backgrounds and all walks of life, from “seekers to saints”. Those who are just starting to investigate Christianity to the committed Christian looking to grow more deeply in your walk with God, all are invited to experience God at work, in heart and life, at FBC!

 

Here at First Baptist, we have modeled our purpose statement after the early Church as found in Acts 2:42-47, expressing it this way: “Praying and living daily for Christ, we; – Joyfully praise God, Encourage one another, Strive for maturity in Christ, Use our gifts to serve, Share the Good News.” JESUS! That says it all!

 

From our purpose statement Jesus has grown our vision statement, which we call “The Vision of the Cross”; “Becoming fully devoted followers of Christ, so we can draw others to Him.”  It is a life-applicational expression of our purpose statement…it truly is FBC’s life-blood! 

 

What you will find, should you choose to visit us, is a family of loving Christians that is  growing and getting to know and love our Lord Jesus Christ more and more each day. You will also find yourself greeted warmly by many of our church family. So come on by for a visit with us. Whether you prefer to start by coming to a Sunday worship service, a Sunday School class at 10:00 am, or by dropping in on a small group Bible study, you are always welcome.
